Thought of the week - NYC in September

Many of you are asking if it is safe to come to NYC this coming September.3 months ago I might have said it was not. There were many homeless and mentally ill people who had to leave their shelters due to COVID and ended up on the streets. To add to that, midtown was a ghost town and the emptiness of it, the lack of people, made it feel unsafe. But we are happy and proud as NYers to say that is our past.  Midtown is up and running. Restaurants are booking up for reservations and hotels are starting to fill up as well. We were one of the first cities across America to implement outdoor dining and it continues to be...

Thought of the week - Alembika Spring '22

It's been a year and a half since I visited Israel and Alembika. We usually meet once a season to review the next collection, discuss our customers' needs and see if there is something we need to add, edit or correct in the collection. Yael

Thought of the week - a break

I am not good at taking breaks. I don't like to leave the office, I don't like to leave home, I am not good on planes and I get anxious about being on a different continent than my kids.  But once I am away, I enjoy the break. I realize how much I needed it and I know how to let go.I notice that when I am away from my business I also get ideas and visions that are hard to notice in my daily hectic life. When I take a break, new ideas come up. And when I take a break, everyone around me has to join in:)Our office and warehouse will be off this Wednesday the 30th until...
