I thought today's zoom session was informative and thought provoking in a business sense. A good share for those who couldn't make it.
We went over the SS22 market trends and covered color, mood and attitude.
Attached is the presentation. Something good to discuss with your staff.
What do you think will sell in your store this coming season and next?
What is your customer looking for? Have they voiced this?
What should you buy for next season?
Happy Monday,
Yael
There is this practice I like to try to do but usually fail at:
Take 1 day or start with 1 hour and try to only speak at and about the people you are with in the room. No talking about anyone who is not present with you.
When we talk about others who are not present, we gossip.
I bet I would have much less to say if I was able to follow this rule.
How much of the day do we gossip?
Happy Monday,
Yael
Dear community, As we moved to meeting on zoom once a month (the first Monday of each month), we want each meeting to be as focused as possible as we all go into the fall season and getting busier in the stores. A workshop with business consultant Cobi Collins. * Monday November 1st - we will meet with a business consultant to talk about running our business efficiently. * Monday December 6th - Holiday party. Surprise. Please let us...
Many of you are asking if it is safe to come to NYC this coming September.3 months ago I might have said it was not. There were many homeless and mentally ill people who had to leave their shelters due to COVID and ended up on the streets. To add to that, midtown was a ghost town and the emptiness of it, the lack of people, made it feel unsafe. But we are happy and proud as NYers to say that is our past. Midtown is up and running. Restaurants are booking up for reservations and hotels are starting to fill up as well. We were one of the first cities across America to implement outdoor dining and it continues to be...
My physical therapist tells me that sitting on the edge of my chair is healthy. It keeps my back straight and in a healthy pose. I like to sit at the edge of a chair to keep myself alert as well. Not to sink into a comfortable, lazy position which might influence my attitude for the day.
How do you stay awake for your day? How do you stay sharp and on the "edge of your seat"?
Happy Monday!
Yael
