By Roni Rabl Japanese aesthetics are infiltrating the main stream since the early 90's. Japanese movies are filling movie theaters more than ever, Sushi is practically the upgraded Pizza, babies are using chop sticks, and why stop there? Japanese designers such as Comme de Garcon's Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miaki & Kenzo, succeeded in turning fashion upside down. "I make clothes for a woman who is out swayed by what her husband thinks" - Rei Kawakubo. This was revolutionary. The woman is not meant to be an object. She is not getting dressed to please her man or to appear as a sex object. These designers came up with styles that challenged the old ideal of beauty. Models came out with...
When Nora Efron passed away from Leukemia in 2012, she was the wet dream of thousands of Nebraska girls who live there but dream of NY. She was not only original, sharp & witty, but she also left us a legacy: the Turtleneck! I certainly love this look and admire everybody who wears it, yet - neither my daughters, their friends, my nieces & their friends, my contemporaries and last but not least, myself are wearing it. It is too risky to put it on and go out of the house not knowing when I will start feeling choked, or God forbid a small heat wave, or the room will be overheated..... Zillion reasons I will not dare wear one....

Is the LITTLE BLACK DRESS making a comeback? No! It is HERE TO STAY just like High Heals! Vogue editors claims that this DRESS is for a certain type of urban young professional who grew up on a steady diet of Vogue & Sex and the City. Is the new tailor-made design really catering to the Carrie Bradshaw in all of us? If you ask me - I would personally prefer to cater to the Kate Middleton in all of us, now nick-named Kate the Great. Modern day black dress being new & perky, sometimes bold and very, very wearable. The original classic of the little black dress look is, and will always be, Audrey Hepburn's look from the movie...
I have a confession to make. Actually it's a team confession. Yea....it's about SHOPIFY. We started to work on an online store when we introduced the idea to you all through three webinar sessions. We thought it would be easy-peasy and fun. We knew we needed to put some time and labor into it but thought it would be easy to achieve. 4 months into it and I must admit: Setting up an online store is hard work! Setting up, taking photos, putting all channels in place, promote, and then what about sales? It is hard but possible! After the first 40 hours we put into it, we can now invest 1 hour a day to promote. We learned our...
