Thought of the week - Organized Chaos

Sometimes it all seems to me like one big mess. Nothing really works out the way it should , companies don't run right , banks and post office don't deliver the service, lawyers don't seem to protect, loans are impossible to get, phones are not as smart as they should be and people don't stand behind their words. But somehow it all works out, designs are made, goods are produced and delivered , people reply and mistakes are corrected. I should just try to remember on days when everything seems to not work out, to pause and wait, Let the day pass. Don't try to make it happen, not today. Usually it all works out. Isn't it!? I tend to over worry...

I tend to over worry. If my daughter doesn't text me back after about 30 seconds, I think she is either tied to a tree in the park or put in a sack somewhere and I have no way to help. And when I say something in public, a moment later I will question what i said and regret I even said anything. The worst part is that I believe my thoughts. Our first reaction to things comes from a learned habit from childhood. It is our history and has nothing to do with the present moment. My habit is to doubt myself . That is my default. Thought of the Week - Hold

I try to sit (meditate) a few times a week before I go to work. I sit quietly, follow my breath, watch my thoughts and feelings come and go. Many times, a few minutes into the sitting, I will have an itch in my eye or on my hand that I feel like I have to stop and scratch. But I also notice that if I am able to just sit with the itch and not react to it, it will go away by itself. Every time I succeed in not reacting immediately and let it pass I feel very happy and open to trust whatever will come my way that day. Knowing that whatever it is, it will show...
