A. It was actually a coincidence. I came from Poland to go on vacation here in the United States and after being here for 10 days, the boarders were closed because a state of war was declared. So I was thinking, how am I going to support myself? I walked to this nice store the carried art pieces and a few clothing items and after sharing a few words with the owner, she offered me a job. After working with her for a couple of years, I bought her store.
Q. What is the most important tip you can give someone who is about to open a store?
A. My advice would be to think about what and who you are targeting, and how you are going to get recognized. And also, always research the location and make sure it’s a good one!
