Thought of the week - My 2019 Vow

New Year's resolutions tend to fade. That's why we need to take them anew every single year. In Buddhism we don't make new year's resolutions. We make vows, to ourselves. A contract with ourselves. We make vows, as these do not break as quickly as resolutions. I also find that vows take different notions than resolutions. If a resolution is "to go on a diet", a vow would be "to be/keep healthy". This year I vow to give time for service and deepen my practice. What’s your vow? Happy Tuesday Yael
