She answered back:
"Doing well except for last night when panic decided to attack while I was cleaning up the store.
I didn’t know what to do. Call a friend? dial 911? I ate an apple, drank water, and breathed. I called my husband to say I was coming home and my therapist friend. The minute I got her on the phone, I knew what was happening and started to feel better. This is the last day, and I’m going to miss a lot of good people with whom I had an excuse to interact with because of the store.
Tomorrow I find a new path. As George Harrison sings, 'if you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.' There’s a thought for a Monday blurb"
After reading this text I called her and got her at work, just as she was ready to leave. Her last day at her beloved store.
We were able to chat a little and thank her space for all those great years of good business and good experiences. I was happy to know Nada was not alone. Her friend was there with her. Thank you Nada for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. You said it so well and I was especially impressed by the ability to reach out when feeling emotionally fragile.
You were right, a great Monday blurb!!
We will be here to hear about the new road you take.
Happy Monday,
Yael
